John McCain’s Latest Campaign Ad

July 8th, 2008 · 12 Comments

It’s all about how fancy Walnuts McCain is. What a badass maverick or whatever, right?

Neglects to mention that he’s flip-flopped on everything mentioned in the ad. Oh well. Reality is hard sometimes.

Come on, Jake. At least he’s had enough opportunity to have flip flopped on something; Barry’s been a tad pressed for time.

John has flip-flopped on everything just during this campaign cycle.

And Barry’s been in office plenty long enough to be a politician and he hasn’t really flipped on much of anything.

Though, he did give FISA the a-okay.

And campaign finance…and he just softened on abortion…and he is laying the groundwork to change his views on Iraq in light of the way things are going…and his “Presidential Seal”…and Rev. Wright…and the flag pin…and anything else that doesn’t make him all things to all people.

Jesus fuck what are you smoking?

    BarackObama.com. Go there. Read up.

I don’t have time to debate you, but I’m sure someone else will chime in to correct you.

Oh, I missed his “I supported Rev. Wright’s church for 20 years, then said he was a crazy Uncle and then disowned him after I said I couldn’t” section on BarackObama.com.

Or the “I don’t think I need to wear a flag pin but now all of the sudden I will because people said I should” section on BarackObama.com.

Or the “isn’t this Presidential Seal cool; err, wait, even the press thinks it’s a bad idea, okay, what Presidential Seal? Those thousands of dollars we spent on it were only for one appearance. No seriously!” section on BarackObama.com.

Or the “I don’t want my girls punished with a child and I have the most liberal voting record on abortion including partial, I mean, partial birth abortion is bad” section on BarackObama.com.

Or the “we should begin pulling out of Iraq immediately, I mean, I’m going to go over there after John McCain said I should and listen to the Generals and maybe if things are going well, we will see” section on BarackObama.com.

Could someone highlight those for me. I must not be able to read such intellectual speak.

When politicians run for US President, they ALL try to seek the middle ground to capture the moderate voters.

Reagan did, Carter did, Bush Sr did (who, before he ran with Reagan as vice Pres. was a liberal, the ultimate flip-flop), etc.

However, -Lapel pin -Rev. Wright -Presidental Seal. All non-political issues. Who cares!

BTW: Obama never said that we should pull out of Iraq IMMEDIATELY. No one has. Go back and reread. You are not getting your facts straight. It makes you look disingenuous at best.

Meanwhile, who was the US Senator:

    -Who voted FOR the war,

    - voted FOR sending MORE troops,

-wants to keep us there for a 100+ years,

    -wants to be President,

    - but DOESN”T even know the difference between a SUNNI and a SHITE.

    Answer:

John McCain ( The Manchurian Candidate) lol

Ask his wives about what a great guy he is!!! Anyone who treats both of his wives in such a horrible manner will never get my vote for anything other than Creep of the Year award! If someone has that much disregard for the most significant person in their life he certainly doesn’t care about you or me. Not my kind of leader!

Really? It doesn’t matter that he went to a church led by a racist? Does that mean you would vote for someone who goes to a church that professes white power? Or how about the fact his first political fundraiser being held at the home of a former terrorist who said in reaction to 9/11 that he only regretted that they didn’t do more than bomb than the Pentagon? Is that really okay with you?

As for the McCain references, you are the one being disingenuous. The 100+ year comment is completely taken out of context. He didn’t mean it literally. And he flipped the Sunnis and Shiites in his head. Has Obama never mispoke? Ha! The beautiful thing is you also appear dense. You claim that the surge was a bad vote when clearly it has worked. Then again, your political ideology appears to be based on losing the war.

-Obama has already recanted Rev. Wright. This is a non-issue.

-As for the reference about about his first political fundraiser being held at a former terrorist (Williams Ayers) home, well, wrong again! Read on:

Times Online: “Sam Ackerman, a Chicago political activist and neighbour of Ayers, said: “The whole thing is preposterous. I held the first fundraiser for Obama, when he ran for the state senate, in my house. A lot of people held little coffee meetings. It wasn’t a big deal.”

    You watch too much Fox!

-How can I be disingenuous, when I’m just stating known facts? lol

-The Surge. Yeah, that’ll work. That’s why everyone is looking for the exits!

Look at what happened to the British (1921) when they tried to rule Iraq. Or for that matter, look at the U.S. now: debt, energy crisis, military can’t find replacements, etc…

The talk now is what type of a withdrawal are we going to have. A Korean type of withdrawal, or a Vietnam type of withdrawal (HardBall, Chris Matthews 7/8/2008).

Anyone with any sense knew that we lost the war on day one. We should have never went in. President Dummy sucked us into that war, so Big Oil can make more money (like they don’t have enough).

But you keep hanging on to that ray of hope there Sunshine. :0)

  • 10 3CardNana // Jul 9, 2008 at 7:08 am

Oh, some guy named Ackerman said so. The fundraiser was at Ayers house. Yes, it is described as a meeting in which outgoing Senator Alice Palmer announced Obama as her successor, but the idea that no checks were written is just plain naive. Hold on to that ray of there Sunshine. He went to a terrorist’s home to launch his political career for God’s sake!

OHHHH, CHRIS MATTHEWS SAID IT!!!! SHIT, THEN IT MUST BE TRUE! Jack freakin Murtha came out last week and admitted the thing is working. Casualties are down 70% from last year. The Iraqi military force is taking the lead now. Hell, the government is making overtures for us to start packing up and moving out because they have things under control. International newspapers are writing about “Al Qaeda’s last stand in Iraq”. But other than that, yeah, the surge isn’t working.

And since when has someone been able to be a member of an organization, start to get political heat, defend it, then disown it solely due to that pressure and be able to just say that it’s no longer a political issue? That’s as disingenuous as it gets.

Don’t Hope For A Better Life, Vote For One.
GREAT SLOGAN. I mean, it worked great for Margaret Thatcher in 1978.

I’m counting that as a second pilfered campaign slogan.

  • 12 Sirico // Jul 9, 2008 at 1:10 pm

Hell, the government is making overtures for us to start packing up and moving out because they have things under control.

-You and Bush are the only two who believe that this war is winable/under control. If I were you, I would be looking for a new friend.

And since when has someone been able to be a member of an organization, start to get political heat, defend it, then disown it solely due to that pressure and be able to just say that it’s no longer a political issue? That’s as disingenuous as it gets.

-Welcome to the world of politics! lol
