A letter writer to the Courier-Journal just reminded us that it was George W. Bush who said elitists were his base.
On the rare occasion that “W” puts together two coherent sentences, he pronounces, “This is an impressive crowd — the haves and the have mores. Some people call you elitists, I call you my base.”
How nice.
