I agree with your “argument” due to me continually getting on my soapbox and saying it’s time for the current leaders, and legislators, to be voted out of office. Whether it’s House leadership or an elected official.

But to kind of respond to you: I’d argue that having a competent leadership team/caucus would help put working together as Kentuckians ahead of partisanship and corrupt self-interests.

Jenkins has tight relationships with Republicans and has a history of working in a bipartisan manner. Which can’t be that terrible.

Might be petty for pointing this out or maybe I’m turning into a communist or socialist. but you said the RIGHT thing “working together as Kentuckians, she said the standard partisan statement of working for only the democrats.

If she wins, in the end, nothing will change. It will be partisan politicians who don’t care about Kentucky’s citizens, only care about their own selfish party self interests. And as long as David Williams and his lock step voting group of 23
are in power, they will obstruct anything the House tries.

Yes, we’re glad. Jody should be congratulated for taking a stand for competent leadership and for moving for positive change in the Commonwealth. We’re always harsh on the dude but this is a rare moment. It’s totally out of character for him to stand up when he doesn’t need to or doesn’t have to. So, many thanks.
