Cassaro Claims Copyright on Slogan?

April 12th, 2008 · 2 Comments

Seriously, WTF?

Michael Cassaro, an almost unknown candidate in the Democratic Primary for U.S. Senate released an email blast today piggybacking on the League of Conservation Voters’ “Dirty Dozen” list we discussed Thursday.

We’re not sure whether to be embarrassed for the Cassaro camp or to laugh. (If this race was exciting we wouldn’t care about silly crap like this, fyi.) In the silliest political move all week, Cassaro’s is attempting to claim copyright on the slogan “THE PRESCRIPTION FOR POSITIVE CHANGE IN WASHINGTON” – for real. Click the image at the top for more detail.

Why is Cassaro raising and spending money in this race? WHY? And does anyone really think it’s not beyond silly to copyright campaign rhetoric? Oh, the laughter, please make it stop!

The guy’s ego overloads his inept ability to see the crap his campaign turns out is just plain silly.

Im not exactly a Cassaro fan, but at least he never lied to a bunch of shareholders like the leading Democratic contender Bruce Lunsford did.
