Obama Campaign Steals Lunsford Idea

March 21st, 2008 · 13 Comments

What’s that? Oh, yes, Barack Obama has copied the Lunsford-Stumbo Blueprint for Change. Hahahaha.

For real.

How hilarious is this? After all of the controversy the plan caused (courtesy of paid hack Mark Nickolas) during last year’s gubernatorial primary, a presidential campaign has taken the ‘Blueprint for Change’ idea and run with it.

Here’s the original:

Could someone please read both of these and tell us what’s going on? We can’t stop laughing.

Really not that funny. It is not the first time Obama has fooled people this year. Besides do not give Lunsford to much credit anyway. He stole it from a politician in Flordia.
How is it that when Lunsford did this everyone was up in arms and mad. When Obama does it is cute and funny?

I’ll say it again – Bruce Lunsford didn’t steal anything.

His communications director wrote the plan for Davis in Florida and wrote his plan.

The situation *is* very funny for Kentucky politicos, though, if you have a sense of humor.

Agree. There are no original ideas. And this isn’t copyrighted information. Get over it with a grin. Next?

Bruce said during that gubernatorial campaign that he sat down with Stumbo to write the plan. Want me to find the link? I found out this _independently_ from Nickolas.

And while not outright theft, there was indeed duplication from a similar plan, although both were developed by the same person.

Both were WRITTEN by the SAME PERSON. Hardly theft. You should make an attempt to talk to Tait Sye about the ordeal before you continue to say the same thing over and over on every story that mentions Bruce Lunsford.

I write the same shit over and over each day. I bet my entire net worth (HA) that you could take a paragraph from Page One and search through Thunderbird and find dozens of exact matches that are and are not intentional. Things multiple candidates have paid me to use in the past.

You may have found it independently of Nickolas but he was _paid_ to push that tripe. Paid. And then paid over $15,000 for less than three months’ propaganda during the general election to pretend he was a legitimate news source.

I find it funny that someone who pays such close attention to politics hasn’t noticed that, oh, every politician’s plan is the same. Same same same on every front.

It’s all hilarious that people get their panties in a twist over Bruce and don’t bat an eye when their golden boy (whom I support) recycles every idea he has from someone else.

Bruce Lunsford claimed he and Lunsford drafted this plan, insinuating that it was original to them, even though it was largely duplicated from another plan. This is fact, Jake.

  • 7 jake // Mar 21, 2008 at 10:14 am

Did I say it wasn’t fact? Nope.

Did I even mention that Bruce claimed to have written it in the story? Nope.

Forgot to say this earlier… but I hope Hildebrand Tewes got paid a lot by the Obama campaign for recycling the Lunsford-Stumbo idea.

Let’s hear it for original consulting! They didn’t even wait a full cycle to drop that one.

I don’t think I count as a KY politico, but I do think it’s funny. Just reminds us all that Obama isn’t a miracle worker all by himself – he’s got help.

Jesus you are the worst hack I’ve ever seen who posted as a democrat! Ar you some kind of republican plant? You know, shrub related?

Title of post= “Obama Campaign Steals Lunsford Idea”

Latter statement trying to defend the post= “I’ll say it again – Bruce Lunsford didn’t steal anything. His communications director wrote the plan for Davis in Florida and wrote his plan.”

You can keep sucking off the Lunsford/Lundergan/Stumbo crowd. Your relevance just dropped to zero.

Something: Actually try, oh, reading this whole goddamn site before you make such an assumption. There are about a thousand posts from the last 8 months. I suggest you catch up ASAP.

That was – hands down – the funniest comment all week. Suggesting that I love Bruce Lunsford or Jerry Lundergan. HAHAHA! Who are you, Jim Anderson Stivers? Ha.

Something: I think Jake’s title is ironic. Don’t be so dense.
