You ask the question “[i]sn’t there a Senate race to meddle in somewhere?” which I take as an appropriate allusion to the 30th, a race in which there was some over-meddling, but also one in which the nomination process was executed by-the-book. Well, there is – in the 37th – and the Chair is doing the right thing by pointing out this abuse, one which you’ve indicated you agree is an abuse. I would call this part of the legitimate work of the Party. Raising money is an other legitimate part of the work. And, I can only be hopeful that when other “real wrongdoers” do wrongful things to the Party, that the Chair will respond then as she has done now.

Unrelated, your mention of “wrongdoers” took me back to the “Morning Announcements” when I was a student at Durrett High School here in Louisville. Our Vice-Principal, a Mr. Paul Chitwood, who read those announcements, when calling the names of those who needed to report to the office for some misdeed, always began that with the words “Would the following Evildoers please see me in the office.”
