Joe Gerth reports that the biggest news of the day is that Bruce Lunsford still hasn’t filed to run for the U.S. Senate.
The biggest story of the filing deadline so far isn’t who has filed to run for office. It’s who hasn’t.
Bruce Lunsford, who is being courted by Democrats in Washington to take on Sen. Mitch McConnell, hasn’t yet made an appearance at the Capitol. Achim Bergmann, his former campaign manager, said this morning that he was still waiting for Lunsford to tell him his plans.
Okay. Who really believes 527 Head Achim Bergmann doesn’t know whether or not Bruce is entering the race today? Riiight.

If Lunsford does get in today, he will regret it.
Horne has all of us establishment/nut-roots guys. Fischer has a lot of money (and doesn’t have the obvious baggage).
Between the Fletcher connections and Vencor (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YCzUbDFVXek)
I don’t see how he could come out of this primary alive.
