Jake is back, kinda. But not fully until sometime next week.
Can’t let a day go by without some criticism right?
This past October Greg Fischer’s brother Chris went on a little fishing trip with none other than George W. Bush. While not a reflection of Fischer’s beliefs or an indication that he’s friends with Dubya, it’s certainly an indication of how closely related to those beliefs and relationships he is. I mean, other than all of his family being registered Republicans. Which is, again, something he can’t help.
Point is… it all suggests Greg Fischer is a conservative product of conservativism. Something that won’t win a Democratic primary.
Do you want to elect someone so closely tied with the Bush regime? That’s almost as silly as Fischer saying he had to work to put himself through college.
Greg Fischer needs to do something positive like, oh, right now. So we can stop reporting the negative 24/7.
Further: To the Fischer hacks who want to continue threatening us with lawsuits and claiming we’re slanderous liars for reporting on Fischer’s campaign activity? At least have the cajones to use your real name. (And, we’d love the publicity a lawsuit would muster up… and the damage it’d do to a candidacy.)

Jake, So long as you don’t tell lies you won’t look bad. I’ll tell you this though, if you start hammering away at Fischer on a daily basis you will lose credibility … Kind of like Nickolas lost credibility with his daily crap on Fletcher. It just gets old, you know what I mean.
How do you know what party all the Fischer’s are registered? Is there a data bank somewhere that tells what party we are all registered?
Anyway, as for me, I like Fischer & I like Horne. I’ve been a friend to Fischer for about 30 years. If you want to slam him with the truth – have at it. If you start telling lies … I’ll help set you straight.

Jake, You know when I say I’ll help set you straight that just means, I’ll be pointing out your lies, right?

Sounded like a threat to me. You might want to pause before hitting submit. Saves you from those awkward “clarifications”.

Nickolas lost credibility with his daily truth telling about Fletcher? I think the election results defy that line of thought.
Nickolas was almost always correct about the Criminal Fletcher Regime.
5 Fischer Cant Win // Jan 17, 2008 at 6:53 pm
Fischer is nothing but a rich guy looking to make some easy money he is a horrible choice and just because he has money doesnt even come close to meaning that he should be in the Race because he doesnt want this bad enough to win the race
6 jake // Jan 17, 2008 at 8:30 pm
Yup, fake me, it’s called the voter file. Something that if KDP friends weren’t all too happy to reveal I’d be able to access here.
Nickolas didn’t lose credibility over Fletcher. He lost credibility for being a sell-out, paid-for tool of just a few.
I know it sucks that we’re all– all the blogs in the state, but especially mine which is read by hundreds of thousands in this half of the country– beating up on poor little Greggie… but it’ll get much worse. I promise.
And by straight… shoo… I know I may have sounded like a full-on hetero when speaking with Greg at the Metro Democratic Club function in December, but, um… let me assure you… I’m the worst a fundie’s worst nightmare. One of those *gasp* STEALTH HOMOS.
Also– too funny that Greg’s friend is out trying to save his butt on the blogs. If he was worth his weight in credibility no one affiliated with him would lend credibility to any charges we may make. When you do it just solidifies whatever basis we may have to our readership. And you fall right into the trap.

Jake, You make me laugh. You can say anything you want about Greg Fischer so long as it is true — I couldn’t care less.
But if I know you – or any other blogger – are lying about a person, not just about Fischer but about anyone, I will point out your lies.
If you accuse a person of committing federal crimes and/or state & local crimes — and if I know you are lying I will point out your lies like I did when you falsely and maliciously accused Fischer of breaking federal laws.
I don’t care what you think of Greg. I don’t care what anyone thinks of Greg. But I do care when people LIE and know they are lying when they accuse someone of breaking federal laws.
That’s what got Nickolas you know. He kept accusing so many people of breaking laws and well … they guy was just a liar and now … he’s just a has-been liar.
Do what you want, print you want, think what you want … just don’t spread lies.

Like I said here:
http://pageonekentucky.com/2008/01/14/more-of-fischer-breaking-the-rules/
Hardly a lie. But keep it up. You’re doing nothing but giving me massive page views.
Accusing me of lying and continually posting the same damn comment over and over is plenty enough ground for me to find out who you are. So. It’d be wise to actually think before you post or to try to educate yourself. AOL doesn’t think twice before popping over information.
Actually, I know what got Nickolas. And what got him had nothing to do with Ernie Fletcher or spreading those lies you allege.
You’re free to comment, but give it up. And stop with posting the same crap on multiple stories.

Jake,
BTW: You never answered my question from above, “How do you know what party all the Fischer’s are registered? Is there a data bank somewhere that tells what party we are all registered?”
10 briansmith // Jan 17, 2008 at 9:27 pm
That’s why I love primaries. It brings all the lunatic noobs into the debate who are shocked and appalled at the level of discourse on the interwebs, and believe that they alone hold the keys to the truth. All this “I shall fall upon ye in righteous anger” crap is whut gets old, you know whut I mean?

Yup, I did. See the comment at 8:30 P.M. Click Here.

You really don’t know if the family has been wealthy since he went to college. What you might know is that SerVend was a family business started by Greg, his dad and brother, primarily. Prior to that, were they wealthy?
You can’t know.
13 Jake doesn't know everything // Jan 17, 2008 at 9:42 pm
Jake, Thanks for the link.
You need to know the birthdate of the person you’re looking up.
You wrote that all of Greg’s family are registered republican. Do you know the birthdate of his entire family? Wow, I’ve known the guy for 30 years and don’t know that.
Maybe you can share the Fischer family names along with birthdates with us so we can all look up to see if you’re telling the truth about his entire family being registered republican.
14 jake // Jan 17, 2008 at 9:42 pm
Who said he was wealthy when he went to college?
He, himself, said he saved all his cash and was able to travel across Europe with the the money from the job he had.
And based on the people I’ve spoken with, I’m pretty daggone sure the family wasn’t strapped for cash. Ever.
15 jake // Jan 17, 2008 at 9:50 pm
The names of his family are easy to find and available via public record. Birth dates may be obtained in the same manner. Have at it.
If I revealed my methods? I wouldn’t have a trade secret.
Maybe you’ll get lucky and a friend of yours who is a part of a campaign or political party operation will take a peek at their voter file for you.
16 Anonymous // Jan 17, 2008 at 9:56 pm
Payne, you kill me. You actually think AOL will disclose the real name of a screen name holder without a subpoena? Or that you could get a subpoena just out of curiosity?
Do you really hate Fischer that badly or do you just have your nose up Horne’s butt so far that you are breathing out his mouth?
I don’t remember you all telling anyone to stay out of the governor’s race, that you had a “consensus candidate.” IIRC it was open season for any Democrat who wanted to run to do so. Why the double standard for the Senate race, huh huh huh?
17 jake // Jan 17, 2008 at 9:58 pm
Of course I do. How do you think I found out HFH and her dad were spamming me with “faggot” comments the first week and a half we were online in August? All you have to do is prove ill intent or a violation of your rules/requests/general operating procedure. Freely admit that the person who obtained the order probably had a grudge to grind in that instance, though.
That didn’t happen in the gubernatorial primary because there were a bunch of lackluster candidates. No one with political weight. Any one of them (save Steve Henry and Otis the Limo Man) could have walked over Fletcher to victory without lifting a finger.
18 Jake // Jan 17, 2008 at 10:22 pm
You realize that this wasn’t a fun little fishing trip between friends, but it was a publicity move after Bush passed a law protecting a certain species of fish from commercial fishing?
19 Jacob // Jan 17, 2008 at 11:00 pm
Is this the best you can do? Chris Fischer has a television show on ESPN2 called “Offshore Adventures” (H’mmm, there’s that awful Fischer trait of succeeding). Shrub Bush booked himself onto the show to try and save a shred of his image (too late!). After the show, Chris Fischer says the Prez seemed like a nice enough guy in a press release. Yeah, that’s conclusive proof that the Fischer’s are a bunch of crypto-fascists and Mitch’s puppets to boot. Give me a break. From this you extrapolate that they are all a bunch of conservatives? Andrew Horne needs to chat with you and remind you that he’s always run a positive campaign and never resorted to personal attacks. He deserves better advocates than you.
20 Steve Magruder (I, not D or R) // Jan 17, 2008 at 11:39 pm
Nobody of any weight, including Fischer, is running against Horne. That’s not as much advocating Horne as just realizing he’s the only serious candidate in the race.
Fischer is a no-name with no stature in the Kentucky Democratic Party.

Would Charlie Owen or Bruce Lunsford be considered to be “of any weight?”
Horne’s primary attribute, it would appear, is that he ran before in a House of Reps primary and lost. By that criterion alone, you have hundreds of potential candidates “of any weight.”
23 Guitar Hero // Jan 18, 2008 at 12:16 pm
To the Jake Hater – If you send $500 to the Secretary of State and request the state wide voter registration file you can find out the voter registration of everyone in the entire state. And get this, it will also tell you if they’ve voter in the last 5 primary/general elections.
Now, get a grip and lay off Jake.
24 Steve Magruder (I, not D or R) // Jan 18, 2008 at 12:42 pm
Horne has delivered the Democratic response to a Presidential weekly radio address. That makes him far more a national Democrat than Owen or Lunsford could ever dream of being. Besides, Owen and Lunsford are not currently in the race, so until they enter, discussion of them as competitors to Horne is moot.
25 jake // Jan 18, 2008 at 6:07 pm
Seriously. The hacks are insane.
You want to comment? Fine. If you’re a fucking idiot? See ya.
If you want to check someone’s voter reg – get the voter file. And no, I’m not deleting anything, you’re on moderated status if you’ve been flooding this site with tons of comments that are worthless. Feel better?
26 No proof Fischer's are GOP // Jan 18, 2008 at 7:29 pm
Jake, since I know you at least read my posts even though you’ve banned my posts … here’s my lastest comment to you that can be read at the ruraldemocrat.
EDITED BY ADMIN: Like we’ve said previously, you aren’t banned. Your comments are saved. You’re moderated for posting the same bullshit like 80 times over and over on five or six different threads. Ask Shackleford– he’s received the screenshots of your million comments. If you want to check someone’s voter registration? Call the secretary of state for a copy for the voter file. If you want to comment? Do so– but follow our rules. When we tell you to stop posting the same crap over and over? Get it through your head.

Hey Jake,
Like your style.
Who’s the One-trick Pony? Belay that answer; just a reminder to him that his anonymity is more tiresome than effective.
That constant drumbeat of I’m gonna call you out sukka is getting to be such an old trick of the Rushes, Hannitys, O’Reilleys and their ilk-like minions has become so predictable. Do you think they’ve figured it out – or have I tumbled the secret?
My questions are only rhetorical … reply or responce is neither anticipated nor warranted.
