Greg Stumbo announced today on the Francene show that he will indeed seek his old 95th District House seat now held by Brandon Spencer, who just announced yesterday that he was resigning.
The choice quote:
“I think I have a pretty good chance of winning that seat back,” Stumbo told Francene.
So. Looks like Andrew Horne is the consensus candidate.

Attorney General Greg Stumbo will seek his old seat in the state House, he told listeners to WHAS radio in Louisville this morning.
Freshman Rep. Brandon Spencer, D-Prestonsburg, decided to resign immediately after “prayerful consideration,” he said in a letter yesterday to Gov. Steve Beshear.
Stumbo said he has spoken to Floyd County election officials and told them he would accept the Democratic Party’s nomination for a special election to fill Spencer’s spot in the 95th House District.

Now the only question is this: will Governor Beshear call the House 95 special before he calls the Senate 30 special?

Gooch can only be replaced if someone stands up to him in a primary. So far, only a few people have expressed interest.
Rocky is rumored to be the man to head some sort of “Energy Cabinet” — yeah, figure that one out.

sounds like floyd county will be a big time player. floyd county could elect chuck meade and put a stop to all this under the table stuff and save the state a ton of money.

Rocky is being moved out to make room for greg in leadership. What if floyd county doesn’T send greg to Frankfort? BIG GAMBLE……
