This sort of homophobic hackery is to be expected from someone like Jim Gooch or Stan Lee. But all of those guys? Some of them must think they’re not up for reelection as DEMOCRATS in 2008.

What a shame that so many would still be interested in legislating hatred.

It’s amusing that House Speaker Jody Richards allows this shady business to go down in the House. He hires and promotes openly gay men and women to leadership positions and has personally said he’s in favor of domestic partner benefits. Will be interesting to see if he develops a back bone on the issue. And interesting whether or not Beshear will actually put his veto pen to use.
