The Fairness Campaign will host a peaceful demonstration in Louisville this evening in support of Corey Nett. Nett, a young man with Cerebral Palsy, was discriminated against by the popular Bristol several weeks ago. Nett was asked to move to the back (or leave) because his voice allegedly annoyed other customers. Well, tons of people present in the restaurant that evening have come forward to speak on his behalf saying that’s not the case.
Rather than do the professional thing by resolving this situation amicably, the Bristol has blown it off (at least publicly). As a result many people are standing up and speaking out. If you’re like-minded and support the Americans with Disabilities Act, you may want to take part.
The peaceful demonstration details are as follows:
What: Blow the Whistle on the Bristol
When: Thursday, Sept 27, 5:00 – 8:00 P.M.
Where: Front of the Bristol, Bardstown Road
